The basic Idea of the guide and why I am doing that...
"Style starts with who you are" (Summer Rayne Oaks). Totally true.
In my opinion the way in which we want to express ourselves or want that other people see us, has lots to do how we look and what we wear. This thinking supports the continuously growing eco trend because it has lots to do with the personal trying to find and express yourself. We want to be different, so we need a way to show that and by using eco-luxury and fashion we can still consume, but not that damaging for environment and producers. It is of course not possible to stop consuming, but we have a choice what we consume and how much. The basic way to sustainable lifestyle is to consume less and if u buy sth then the "right" things.
The GUIDE
I'd like to try to make the guide in 3 chapters plus a short introduction.
The first chapter will introduce everybody to the topic Fair Trade, Green Fashion and Ethical Consumption. A lot of Theory I know but it ll be peppered with some photographs with interesting quotes.
After that, in chapter two I’ll introduce the reader to different Designers and their Fashion, all guided by some Illustrations. And the last chapter should help the motivated Green Shopper now to find and choose from the huge variety, by giving information about what the different eco-labels say…
If its then all done it ll be printed as eco friendly as possible and here downloadable as PDF.
